Eli Manning has settled in nicely to life after football, taking his time in deciding what his second career will look like. Next fall, the former Giants quarterback and two-time Super Bowl MVP will once again follow in his brother’s footsteps as he hosts a new venture for ESPN+.
Although the name hasn’t been confirmed by ESPN, Manning tweeted that the show is called Eli’s Places, following the format of his older brother who launched Peyton’s Places in 2019. While Peyton’s Places is focused on the NFL, Eli’s new show for ESPN+ will feature college football.
“I’m going to the biggest universities and get the greatest stars to show me the most iconic places in college football history,” the former Giants quarterback says in the promo.
Last year, Manning told The Big Lead he wasn’t ready to aggressively pursue any ventures in broadcasting, but he was interested in trying new things.
“I think it’s really a time to, not be adventurous, but dabble in a few different fields and see what interest is there from both sides,” Manning said.
Since retiring from football more than a year ago, Manning hasn’t been publicly sought after by media outlets the way his brother has, but his last name will always carry some clout. The fact that Eli is a two-time Super Bowl winner who played in the country’s largest media market certainly won’t hurt opportunities being sent his way either.
