The View co-host Joy Behar is under fire for mis-gendering Caitlyn Jenner during a segment on Friday which dealt with Jenner’s announcement that she was running for California governor.
“He’s got this guy Brad Parscale running his campaign,” Behar said of Jenner. “What do you think about that? I mean that guy was accused of using campaign funds to enrich himself,” Behar said to co-host Sunny Hostin.
Behar blamed lack of sleep for the mistake. “I think I just didn’t get enough sleep last night. I had no intention of missing them up, and I tried to correct it immediately, but, whatever, it just came out, so I’m sorry if anybody was upset by that.”
“So first of all, let me apologize for my pronoun mix-up, I think I just didn’t get enough sleep last night. I had no intention of missing them up, and I tried to correct it immediately, but, whatever, it just came out, so I’m sorry if anybody was upset by that,” she said.
Jenner, a Republican, announced plans Friday to run for governor of California. “I’m in! California is worth fighting for,” she tweeted.
