WBAL Newsradio 1090AM/101.5 FM’s Yuripzy Morgan criticized Anne Arundel County’s health department on Wednesday, expressing frustration that the county is not following the recommended COVID-19 guidelines.
Morgan took aim at the county’s health department who she claimed is following old guidelines set out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Morgan said she emailed the county’s health director but has yet to hear back.
“As a parent I am done with this,” said Morgan referring to the confusing guidelines that have prohibited her young daughter from returning to school. “You need to give me a solid, science-based explanation as to why you are not updating your guidance from the CDC and the administration.”
Anne Arundel County providers vaccinated an additional 1,383 people against COVID-19 from Monday to Tuesday, upping the percent of the population with at least one shot to 44.8%.
“My kids have suffered enough, your kids have suffered enough, and these policies don’t make sense,” Morgan said. “Don’t we not see what we have done to our kids?”
