One of Atlanta’s most popular talk show hosts has been tapped to lead the largest Black-owned, free print urban publication in the country.
Dr. Rashad Richey, who hosts mornings at Audacy-owned WAOK News & Talk 1380 will head Rolling Out. Richey previously served as editor-at-large.
“In selecting Rashad Richey as our new president, Rolling Out is appointing an experienced leader that will enhance and expand our reputation as a leader in developing rich and unique content for our culture,” Founder and CEO Munson Steed said in a release. “Rashad is a visionary, and I do not doubt that his extensive experience as a media executive will take our brand to the next level.”
Richey was nominated for an Emmy Award for his riveting television news coverage of a small Georgia town still dealing with the very real effects of racism and systemic segregation.
