Former President Donald Trump used his ban from social media platforms to start a
blog called “From the Desk of Donald Trump,” which launched earlier this month as the
ex-commander-in-chief wants to fill his online presence.
The Washington Post reports that it saw 159,000 total social media interactions on the
blog’s first day. However, the next day, interactions fell to 30,000 and have since not
surpassed 15,000 per day.
Despite the high interactions with Trump’s blog at its launch, the former president’s
posts see less and less shares by users on social media platforms like Facebook and
Twitter.
Nonetheless, Trump’s advisers stated that the blog’s performance is due to delays and
glitches because of its platform built by the ex-President’s campaign manager Brad
Parscale’s company, Campaign Nucleus.
“These comments came from the same people who have never done anything for
Trump but talk,” Parscale said. “My company spent the last six years building products
that helped the president spread his message around the world. And we happily
continue to do so.”
