Trump Won’t Commit to 2024 Run in Bongino Interview

During a live radio interview Monday former President Donald Trump declined to confirm whether he was going to run for office in 2024.

The interview conducted by former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino was part of his big debut on national radio.

“Well, I’ll tell you we’re going to make you very happy and we’re going to do what’s right,” said Trump. “We’ve done a great job for our country. We’ve rebuilt the military. We built the greatest economy ever, twice. We’ll let you know when the time is right but we’re looking at it very seriously.”

Bongino’s show debuted in the same time slot that the late Rush Limbaugh once occupied. Limbaugh, who passed away after a brief battle with lung cancer, was recognized in Bongino’s opening monologue.

Bongino also addressed New York’s ongoing criminal probe reportedly targeting the former president.

“Well, it’s a continuation of the biggest, greatest witch hunt in the history of our country, and they didn’t get me in Washington,” Trump said. “They tried Mueller, they Russia, Russia, Russia, Ukraine, Ukraine impeachment one, impeachment two and they sent the papers back down to New York, ‘hey, do the best you can.’ It’s honestly, it’s a disgrace, and they hurt so many people and it’s very costly and they hurt people so badly, and it’s pure politics.”
