Some changes are coming to CBS News as the network’s chief political analyst and senior national correspondent John Dickerson will depart from his role with “60 Minutes.” Dickerson will now contribute to “Sunday Morning,” as Dickerson confirmed the news on his Twitter account.
“John Dickerson will be contributing to Sunday Morning while continuing in a key political anchor and reporting role as chief political analyst and Senior national correspondent,” a CBS News spokesperson said via email.
Dickerson joined CBS in 2009 as an analyst and contributor, and for six years, he served as the network’s political director.
In 2019, Dickerson came aboard as a contributor for “60 Minutes” and does reporting for all CBS News platforms and programs, including “CBS This Morning,” “CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell,” and “Face The Nation.”
“John has regularly provided ‘Sunday Morning’ with a variety of stories, along with political analysis,” Rand Morrison, “CBS Sunday Morning” executive producer, said. “We value his insights and couldn’t be more pleased that one of the hats he’ll now be wearing is that of ‘Sunday Morning’ contributor.”
