Walsh Blames Anti-Trumpism for Show Cancelation

Radio talk show host and former GOP congressman, Joe Walsh, told CNN last week that his nationally syndicated show was cancelled because he was outspoken against former President Donald Trump.

Walsh was syndicated with Chicago-based Global American Broadcasting.

“If you want to get elected as a Republican, you have to make love to Donald Trump,” Walsh said. “If you want to succeed in conservative media, they don’t want you to be honest. You can be like Sean Hannity and kiss Donald Trump’s feet all day. Most people in conservative media do their best not to talk about Trump.”

Walsh also took to Twitter to criticize his old network for what he suggested was a closed-minded approach to covering the news.

“Some bad news. Looks like I’ve lost my radio show,” Walsh said. “The network is run by a big Trumper, and he’s wanted to boot me for a while. Looks like it finally happened. Not surprised, but I am bummed. I thought it was so important to have ONE anti-Trump conservative voice on the radio.”

Two years ago, Walsh agreed to terminate his national show on Salem Radio Network after he announced that he was challenging Trump for the 2020 Republican nomination.
