Brian Custer Joins ESPN For SportsCenter & Play-By-Play

Brian Custer is leaving FOX Sports. He is headed to Bristol, where he will work as a SportsCenter anchor and provide play-by-play coverage of college basketball and football.

“I’m beyond thrilled to be joining all the dedicated sports professionals at the World Wide Leader,” Custer said in a press release. “It’s always been a professional goal to anchor an iconic show like Sportscenter and call games for ESPN. I can’t wait for this journey to begin.”

Custer begins in July working for ESPN in July. He will continue his work for Showtime as well. He serves as host of the network’s Championship Boxing coverage.

There is no word on whether or not he might contribute to ESPN Radio, but that is another platform where Brian Custer has plenty of experience. He has been a host on SiriusXM’s NBA Radio.

SportsCenter will certainly provide a nice platform for Custer’s advocacy. He is a cancer survivor and serves as a spokesman for the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
