Miami’s NewsRadio 610 WIOD is sharing critical information about a building collapse where 35 people were pulled from the rubble early Thursday.
The station reported on its website that a 12 story building located near the corner of 88th St. and Collins Avenue just north of Miami Beach and reportedly collapsed around 2 a.m.
WIOD posted on its Facebook page that a family reunification center has been set up for anyone looking for unaccounted or missing relatives.
South Florida’s First News with Jimmy Cefalo aired a press conference with several officials sharing information Thursday morning. Governor Ron DeSantis told the station that he was headed to the scene of the collapse.
The station continues to devote all of its resources including its local shows, traffic, and newscasts to covering the event that has quickly catapulted to the top of every national newscast in the country.
