Denver talk radio host Steffan Tubbs is sharing his battle with COVID-19, the virus that kept him out of action for nearly two months.
The 710 KNUS host spoke to CBS Denver about how he contracted COVID, the importance of getting vaccinated, and what he believes will happen if Americans continue to resist the solution.
Tubbs said he was not vaccinated when he came down with the virus. He said he had to be hospitalized for about a week.
“Hallucinations early on, the COVID fog, the brain fog. Everything we had all heard was absolutely true. (I’d) never been sicker,” Tubbs said.
According to the Colorado Department of Health and Environment, nearly all the 10,000 people hospitalized for COVID since mid-January were unvaccinated.
“When one decides to be vaccinated, we are taking into consideration your own health, but we are also taking into consideration the health of your neighbors, the state, country and the globe,” he said.
Tubbs said at one point he thought he was going to die. “To those who think COVID is a hoax, you’re crazy.”
