Barstool Sports released an official statement on Wednesday that Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy has officially declared the Empire State Building an enemy of the state.
“As of today, August 11th, 2021 Barstool Sports Founder David S. Portnoy is officially declaring the Empire State Building an enemy of the State,” the declaration reads. “Yesterday, it was revealed that that piece of shit slab of cement is actively poaching Barstool Sports employees to go work for it. And not just any Barstool employees. They have taken one of our finest- Tyler O’Day.”
The document would go on to state “For the uneducated, O’Day works in social media for Barstool and is one of the most unique characters we have. He asked for a raise on his first day as an intern, didn’t get it, and left the company. But he would return to Barstool Sports years later. Through hard work, a iconic fashion taste, the voice of an angel, and thighs that just won’t quit, he eventually worked himself into the good graces of Portnoy- a heart attack survivor…”
Since the news broke of O’Day’s resignation, Portnoy has been engaging the Empire State Building on Twitter.
The ball is in the Empire State Building’s court now. Only time will tell if it will retaliate or throw in the surrender flag to Portnoy…or do nothing at all.
