Philadelphia 76ers Digital Content Manager Brian Seltzer is leaving the organization for a position at Audacy-owned KYW Newsradio, according to his blog.
Seltzer’s time with the team dates back to the 2012-3 season when he hosted the postgame show on 97.5 The Fanatic.
“It was 97.5 The Fanatic’s first full season carrying the team’s games on the radio, and they needed someone to do the postgame show,” he said. “I’ll always be indebted to Matt Nahigian, 97.5’s program director at the time, for hiring me for the gig, which I’ve been lucky to hold ever since.”
In Seltzer’s new role, which begins on September 1, he will serve as a podcast producer. He wrote that he was passionate about podcasting and that he was looking for an opportunity to do something like this for quite some time.
“I couldn’t be more excited and feel extremely fortunate to be able to make this type of pivot,” Seltzer wrote.
Seltzer thanked the fans, the team, the players, the coaches, his colleagues at 97.5 The Fanatic and NBC Sports Philadelphia.
“Whether it was through passing stats to me during home games or grubbing on the road, it was great keeping company with this crew.”
