Dave Portnoy Calls Upcoming Business Insider Story ‘Hit Piece’

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy stated at the end of Friday’s live stream of ‘Davey Day Trader’, that Business Insider is releasing an article which features an on-the-record interview with a former employee.

Portnoy discussed the alleged article, after a viewer asked “Does Business Insider still want to fued?”.

After reading the viewer’s question aloud, Portnoy responded by saying “that article’s coming. I just found out that they went on the record…a former employee, who was here for a cup of coffee, went on the record. Who knows what he said…it’s not (expletive) good”.

He continued talking about the Business Insider article adding “everybody who does like me didn’t comment, except Elio (Imbornone)…they got a crazy person, and God knows who else.”

Immediately after commenting on the Business Insider article, Portnoy proceeded to abruptly end his ‘Davey Day Trader’ live stream.

‘El Presidente’ also tweeted out a screenshot of a text message conversation where he told his personal friend Elio Imbornone that the Business Insider article he interviewed for was a “hit piece”.

Ironically, Portnoy’s comments come two days after Alicia Sadowski published a controversial article on mediamatters.com titled ‘Barstool Sports is a Cesspool of Misogyny and Bigotry’.
