Seattle radio host Jason Rantz is reacting to Dr. Anthony Fauci’s comments regarding holiday gatherings.
Rantz criticized the much-maligned Fauci during an appearance on the Faulkner Focus on Fox News Monday.
Fauci told CBS’s Face the Nation Sunday that it was “too soon to tell” if family get-togethers would be acceptable this upcoming holiday season given the rise in COVID cases and the number of unvaccinated Americans.
“It’s ludicrous. It’s not too soon to know,” said Rantz. “There’s nothing we know right now that says we can’t see friends or family for Christmas or Hanukkah or Thanksgiving or Halloween.”
Rantz pointed out that in Washington State there are upwards of 75% of people vaccinated against COVID.
“You don’t get to decide whether I’m seeing my family and friends for any holiday,” said Rantz.
According to the Washington State Department of Health nearly 80% of residents have expressed the desire to get dosed.
“To tell me it is not safe to visit your family for Christmas, to say that in October, indicates this isn’t really about public health at this point. Now we are talking about taking total control. That’s the scary part, here.”
Jason Rantz hosts the afternoon show on 770 KTTH in Seattle.
