The Florida Sports Network has gone live with a morning show offering. Miller & Moulton, the show recently cut loose by Sun Broadcasting in Fort Meyers, is now on in two markets. Beasley Broadcasting has added the show on two of its stations.
Miller & Moulton is back on the air in Fort Meyers. They are now heard on ESPN Southwest Florida. The show is also being heard in Tampa on Beasley’s business news station, Money Talk 1010.
“It’s great to have Miller & Moulton back where they started,” said Beasley Southwest Florida VP/Market Manager AJ Lurie. “Our audience have missed them.”
Barrett Sports Media has learned that the Florida Sports Network has plans for other shows and eyes on landing affiliates in what it considers to be “underserved” sports markets in the state. That includes Orlando according to a source with knowledge of the network’s plans. The plan was initially to launch with an afternoon drive show as well, but the network and the host it was targeting were not able to come to a deal.
“We have a great relationship with Beasley in Detroit with the Michigan Sports Network and are thrilled to partner with them again in their hometown of Naples and across the state of Florida,” said Florida Sports Network President Marty Booher. “We already know that sports fans love the Miller & Moulton brand and we’re proud to put them back on the air as we expand their show across the state. Listening to the show is like being in your favorite Florida sports bar for four hours in the morning!”
