The Butler Bulldogs are moving from one Indianapolis sports station to another. The school’s men’s basketball broadcasts will now call Cumulus’s CBS Sports 1430 their new home.
Butler fans will hear something very familiar, just on a brand new frequency. Mark Minner and Nick Gardner return to call the games and handle the short pre and post-game duties. PNC Bank continues to serve as the title sponsor of the broadcasts on Learfield’s Varsity Network.
“As the largest and most dynamic cluster of media brands in the state, Cumulus Indianapolis is honored to join the Butler Bulldog team,” said Cumulus VP and Market Manager Chuck Fredrick. “The fabulous broadcast team of Mark and Nick entertaining Bulldog fans with exciting basketball from iconic Hinkle Fieldhouse and Big East venues creates such a unique experience.”
Previously, the school’s games were heard on Emmis’s 93.5 and 107.5 the Fan. A five-year agreement between the two sides ended at the conclusion of the last college basketball season.
