Sports betting is legal in New York state and with mobile betting on the way in time for the Super Bowl, BetMGM went out and grabbed the biggest piece of partnership real estate that it could. The sportsbook is now the official betting partner of the Knicks, Rangers, and Madison Square Garden.
The multi-year marketing partnership will give BetMGM a major presence inside the Garden. That will include basket stanchion signage during Knicks games, a digital billboard courtside, and features on the large video screens. In return, the company will create exclusive games and experiences for Knicks and Rangers games.
“We’re thrilled to see the BetMGM brand connected to a space as iconic as Madison Square Garden,” Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s CRO, said in a press release. “New York is a critical state for BetMGM’s continued growth and I can’t think of a better way to begin our relationship with The Empire State than partnering with The World’s Most Famous Arena and their legendary team franchises.”
BetMGM will also become a part of MSG Networks, which has recently increased its focus on gambling content. The brand will be integrated into coverage of the Knicks, Rangers, New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders
