The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) will host this year’s Marconi Awards Wednesday in Las Vegas, Nevada. The annual awards show was postponed last month and will now be held virtually.
The NAB Marconi Radio Awards honor radio stations and on-air personalities for excellence in broadcasting. The organization will award winners from 23 categories. The event will be hosted by Angela Yee, who co-hosts the nationally syndicated The Breakfast Club.
Many iconic and prominent news/talk stations will contend for awards.
Atlanta’s 95.5 WSB is in the running for “Legendary Station of The Year,” while Philadelphia’s KYW Newsradio and New York’s 1010 WINS are both nominated for “Major Market Station of The Year.”
The award show will also highlight the “Legendary Manager of The Year.” Joel Oxley, Senior Vice President and General Manager of WTOP in Washington D.C., is nominated in the category along with 1010 WINS Director of News & Programming, Ben Mevorach.
