“CBS Mornings” co-host Gayle King has become the latest to state that the virus is something the public needs to learn to live with as the coronavirus pandemic heads into its second year.
King appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” stating that she’s fully vaccinated and boosted but reveals she’s “so tired of being tired” and doesn’t want to return home under Covid-19 lockdown.
“There already so many breakthroughs, so I am worried about that. I’m so tired of being tired and afraid of this. I am. I think we all have to figure out how we can live our lives and navigate it,” said King. “And that’s where I am. I don’t want to go back home. I don’t want to go back home.”
With Covid-19 cases surging in the United States following the holidays, King revealed that CBS has a contingency plan for the anchors to return home and broadcast the show remotely.
However, King adds, that’s not something she wants to do, saying she “would much rather run down Times Square buck naked than go back home.” “Buck naked,” exclaimed King. “That’s what I would rather do than go back home.”
