Univision’s morning program “Despierta América” has a new co-host joining the show. The network announced that Jessica Rodríguez will help take over the role.
Rodríguez is transitioning from her reporter and producer position for Univision’s Daytime Emmy Award-winning morning show, where she hosted the popular daily feature’ Revoltillo Digital’ (Digital Scramble).
“Jessica Rodríguez is a young, dedicated, and courageous journalist who represents a generation of immigrants who grew up in the United States watching ‘Despierta América.’ I am proud that she is now joining ‘Despierta América.’ as a host,” Luz María Doria, vice-president and executive producer Despierta América, said.
During Rodríguez’s time as a reporter and producer at “Despierta América,” the two-time Emmy Award winner has executed interviews with high-profile stars, including Mark Wahlberg, Whoopi Goldberg, Ryan Reynolds, The Rock, etc.
Rodríguez joins Karla Martínez, Alan Tacher, Satcha Pretto, Carlos Calderón, Raúl González, and Francisca Lachapel live Monday through Friday at 7 am ET/PT.
