A few weeks ago, Axios reported Stephanie Ruhle would be leaving the 9 a.m. time slot as it gets incorporated into “Morning Joe.” Ruhle heads to the 11 p.m. time slot to replace Brian William, who left in December.
Ruhle announced Monday on MSNBC that the final broadcast of “Stephanie Ruhle Reports” is this coming Friday. After that, she’ll become the new host of “The 11th Hour” beginning March 2.
“I want to announce this Friday will be my last time in this anchor chair at this hour, and we have loved starting our day together at 9 a.m., what I consider to be a really critical hour of news,” Ruhle said.
“But I’m not leaving you entirely. Soon, you will find me at The 11th Hour to end your busy day and hopefully help make sense of the most important current events and news that really impacts our lives. We’ll continue our goal to try make you better and smarter from the morning to night.”
MSNBC Reports will have a rotating guest of anchors until the growth of Morning Joe to four hours debuts. Meanwhile, Ruhle will now be responsible for maintaining Williams’ audience on “The 11th Hour,” which was consistently the most-watched cable news show in the 11 p.m. timeslot.
“In the meantime, my fantastic MSNBC Reports colleagues will bring you the information and news you need to know from 9 a.m., but until Friday, you are stuck with me right here at this hour, and I’ll be with you across the network and all of our platforms covering all things business,” Ruhle said.
“From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for watching, today and always. You have made me better, and I have appreciated every minute I have gotten to be with you.”
