2022 BSM Summit Adds 6 More Speakers

We are two weeks away from putting on a long overdue sports media conference for industry professionals. If you haven’t bought your ticket to attend in person, hurry up and do so before it’s too late. The theater is filling up, and we will stop selling live tickets to the show on Friday February 25th. To make sure you have a seat, visit BSMSummit.com.

For those looking for details on the various sessions planned for our 2022 show, head on over to the Summit website. Everything has been updated except one session which we’ll announce in the coming days, and our two award winners for this year’s Champion’s Award and Mark Chernoff Award. Those award winners will be revealed tomorrow.

What I’m thrilled to share with you today are the additions of six new speakers to our 2022 Summit schedule. Each of these folks have built successful careers, and I’m glad they were able to make time to share their knowledge with our in-person and online attendees.

I’ll start by welcoming ESPN SVP of Studio Production, ESPN Audio, and the NBA, David Roberts to the Summit. David will be part of an important panel I’ll be hosting on the importance of workplace diversity, and finding diverse leaders and influencers. Joining him on stage will be Good Karma Brands Vice President Debbie Brown, and ESPN host Pablo Torre.

Staying inside the ESPN family, I’m pleased to have 98.7 ESPN New York program director Ryan Hurley joining us for a session titled ‘The Big 12’. Ryan will present three ideas to help stations drive ratings and/or revenue, as will Sports Radio WIP’s Rod Lakin, Sports Radio WHB’s Sandy Cohen, and 104.3 The Fan’s Raj Sharan.

Next up is Bonneville’s Executive Vice President, Scott Sutherland. The longtime leader of Bonneville Phoenix, now charged with overseeing all markets for the company, will lead the ‘Inside The Corner Office’ conversation with market managers Chris Oliviero, Mike Thomas, and Joe Bell.

The fourth addition to the Summit stage is someone who’s spoken at our show before, and is right in the middle of the sports betting talent frenzy sweeping the nation. We’re excited to welcome back FanDuel’s Chief Marketing Officer Mike Raffensperger. Mike will join our ‘Betting On Sports Media’ session involving DraftKing Chief Media Officer Brian Angiolet, and Fanatics Chief Commercial Officer Ari Borod, hosted by ESPN’s Joe Fortenbaugh.

Last but certainly not least, we’re looking forward to presenting our very first Agents panel. To help us bring it to life we’ve called upon Kevin Belbey of CAA Sports, and Heather Cohen of The Weiss Agency. This will be an interesting conversation with a ton of value for for both talent and industry decision makers.

That’s the latest on the Summit. We’ll share the news tomorrow of our two award winners, and hope to reveal soon a few guests who are scheduled for the ESPN After Party following the first day of sessions. Once again, if you haven’t bought a ticket and have been thinking of attending either in person or online, do so asap by visiting BSMSummit.com. Now back to planning!
