Tom Haberstroh, Amin Elhassan Launching NBA Podcast For Meadowlark Media

When Tom Haberstroh joined Meadowlark Media last May, it only seemed like a matter of time before he would launch an NBA podcast for the company.

Prior to joining Meadowlark, he was an established national basketball insider for NBC Sports, Bleacher Report, and ESPN. Additionally, he launched the Count The Dings podcast network which has shows focused on the NBA, food, movies, lifestyle, and social issues.

But the wait is over. Haberstroh announced his new NBA podcast on Twitter. Basketball Illuminati will be hosted by him and Amin Elhassan, produced by Anthony Mayes, and, naturally, will be join the Le Batard and Friends podcast network.

Give a listen to the trailer, which promises NBA coverage that won’t be found among mainstream media. And check out that logo!

Elhassan left ESPN for Meadowlark just over a year ago. He had been with ESPN for eight years, appearing across network programming including The Jump, Highly Questionable, Jalen & Jacoby, and The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz. Prior to broadcasting, Elhassan worked in the Phoenix Suns front office, progressing from intern to assistant director of basketball operations to college scout.

An exact premiere date wasn’t given, but Basketball Illuminati will presumably debut soon with the trade deadline passed, the 2021-22 season reaching the All-Star break, and the NBA about to step into the national sports spotlight with the end of the NFL season and Major League Baseball in a lockout.
