Fox News personality Will Cain is hosting a show that examines two near-catastrophic vehicle accidents and subsequent comebacks of golfing greats Ben Hogan and Tiger Woods.
The special was released on the network’s video streaming service, FOX Nation, Tuesday.
Cain, who co-hosts “Fox & Friends Weekend” has served as an ESPN contributor in the past. During the special, he will discuss the coincidences between the pair on the golf course and on their respective journeys to recovery.
Hogan’s near-fatal accident came in 1949. At the time, Hogan was the reigning U.S. Open and PGA champion. He suffered a broken left ankle, contusions to his left leg, a broken collarbone, a cracked rib, a double fracture of the pelvis, a head abrasion, and internal injuries.
Woods suffered traumatic leg injuries in a single-vehicle wreck on Feb 23, 2021. The five-time Master’s winner returned to play at the PNC Championship with his 12-year-old son last year.
Throughout the special, contributions will be made by golfer Rocco Mediate, who lost to Woods in 2008 U.S. Open. Golf historian Michael Trostel and Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer, an avid golfer himself, will make appearances during the program.
