Comedian, actress, and “Daily Show” correspondent Desi Lydic attempted to explain Fox News’ coverage of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
During a segment called “Foxsplains,” Lydic sarcastically questioned why Russia invaded Ukraine. “Foxsplains” is a segment where Lydic explains specific topics the way hosts and personalities do on Fox News.
“Why is this happening? What does it mean? Where is Hillary Clinton’s email server!?!” Lydic asked.
Lydic referred to Putin as “strong” in the satire while calling President Joe Biden “weak.” “By the way, why are we supposed to think that Vladimir Putin is evil? He’s not the one poisoning our children with critical race theory!”
Lydic’s swipe referenced numerous shows that Fox News host Tucker Carlson has done examining how politicizing the U.S. military under the guise of equity could hurt national security.
“Vladimir Putin is evil,” Lydic said. “I have always said that. I have never said Vladimir Putin is a handsome genius with a hottie’s body.”
“But in more ways, he’s a villain — a strong villain,” she continued. “A patriot! A tyrant!”
