John Canzano has left the Oregonian. His media brand now is all about The Bald Faced Truth. He launched a website earlier this week named for the radio show he does on 750 The Game in Portland.
“I’ll post my columns here from now on,” he wrote in the site’s initial post. “The sourcing I’ve developed over the years won’t be wasted. I have so much left to say and I will say it unencumbered now.”
The Oregonian didn’t have much to say about Canzano. The paper acknowledged his exit in a post at OregonLive.com. In it, Therese Bottomly, editor of The Oregonian/OregonLive, writes, “We wish John all the best going forward. He is a tremendously talented journalist and wrote many memorable columns over the years.”
Canzano’s radio show can still be heard in afternoon drive on sports stations across Oregon.
