Chicago’s WLS 890 AM is adding a podcast to its network called “Show and Tell with Andrea Darlas.” The weekly podcast will showcase various Windy City attractions, including cultural experiences, plays, museums, and musicals.
According to the station’s website, Emmy-nominated TV and radio reporter Andrea Darlas will bring listeners inside exclusive events with access generally reserved for entertainment insiders. The station said Darlas plans to interview actors, actresses, curators, docents, directors, producers, and more.
“I am so excited to bring my love for theatre, musicals, museums, arts and culture – and all things Chicago – to the legendary Big 89! Darlas told Radio Online. I want the WLS listeners to have their own immersive ‘backstage pass’ to the arts and entertainment community – in the greatest city in the world.”
In 2019, Darlas was inducted into the WGN Radio Walk of Fame.
“We are delighted to add Show and Tell with Andrea Darlas to our podcast network,” said WLS program director Stephanie Tichenor. “Andrea has been a mainstay in Chicago media for over 25 years, and we are eager for her to share her arts and culture prowess with our WLS listeners.”
