Northwestern Invites Mike Greenberg To Give Graduation Address

The Medill School at Northwestern University is one of the most prestigious journalism schools in America. It also happens to be the alma mater of ESPN’s Mike Greenberg. The school has invited Greeny back next month to deliver the convocation speech to new graduates.

Greenberg is an ideal standard for the school to put in front of new graduates. He is one of ESPN’s most famous faces. He is also a member of the Radio Hall of Fame and the NAB Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

“Mike’s career in sports journalism equips him with a distinct perspective to inspire and influence the class of 2022 as their careers begin,” Medill School Dean Charles Whitaker said.

Mike Greenberg shared his own excitement on Twitter.

Northwestern has become a big part of the Greenberg family. Both Mike and his wife Stacy graduated from the school. Their two kids, Nikki and Stephen are current students. The family also began sponsoring the Stacy Steponate and Mike Greenberg Scholarship for Medill students in financial need in 2017.
