CNN is welcoming a new reporter to the company as the cable news channel announced that Rahel Solomon is joining CNN International as a correspondent.
Solomon will report on global business news across CNNI and other CNN networks and platforms in her correspondent role, which will see her based out of New York.
The new CNN international correspondent brings experience to the position as she comes over from CNBC, where her reporting appeared on many television and digital programs, including “The News with Shepard Smith,” “Halftime Report,” and “Power Lunch.”
Before arriving at the national news scene, Solomon also spent time at the local level, serving as a morning news anchor for CBS3 in her hometown of Philadelphia, PA.
Furthermore, joining CNN in this new position marks her return to the company. In 2012, Solomon worked as an intern for CNN’s Special Investigations Unit in Washington, DC.
During Solomon’s time at CNN over a decade ago, she worked alongside Drew Griffin and Scott Bronstein on their inquiry into delays in treatment veterans encountered at VA hospitals and helped with the network’s 2012 midterm election night coverage.
