A contentious and lengthy Twitter spat ensued Sunday when CNN’s Brian Stelter shared a Washington Post link accusing Fox News and Tucker Carlson of “selling doubt.”
Of all the people that you could imagine who would jump at the opportunity to criticize the Stelter tweet, an unlikely opponent emerged – former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
“And you all are selling hope?” Dorsey posted in response. To which Stelter responded by asking for a second opportunity to interview the former Big Tech executive.
“I’m just one person, but I enjoyed our CNN interview and would love to do it again – this topic deserves long form,” in response to an interview he conducted with him nearly four years ago.
One Twitter user reminded Stelter that his interview with Dorsey started by asking the question if his former company was broken?
Dorsey accused CNN of reporting fake news during the 2014 Ferguson, Missouri riots in a separate tweet.
“I know this from being on the streets of Ferguson during the protests and watching them try to create conflict and film it causing the protestors to chant ‘f—k CNN,’” Dorsey said.
