June 13th will mark an eventful day for one radio station in Nashville, Tennessee. ESPN 94.9 will relaunch on that day as 94.9 the Fan.
That day will also mark the return of the former Midday 180 trio of Jonathan Hutton, Chad Withrow and Paul Kuharsky. The show left that name and Nashville radio in January of 2021 when it’s hosts signed with Clay Travis’ Outkick.
The station’s program director, Chase McCabe, also added more news about the station’s daily lineup in a tweet. The Fan will feature The Dan Patrick Show in the mornings from 8-11am, The Herd with Colin Cowherd in between 11a-2pm in addition to OutKick 360 which will air from 2-5pm CT.
“One of my goals as the new PD was to figure out a way to add OutKick 360 to our talented lineup,” McCabe said. “Re-imagining 94.9 as The Fan made that possible because not only do we add three voices that Nashville knows, but we are able to bring Dan Patrick and Colin Cowherd back to the Music City. It’s a huge win for us and for our city.”
“The opportunity to partner with Cromwell Media and 94.9 The Fan is in sync with the vision and direction we have for OutKick 360,” Jonathan Hutton added. “We live in Nashville and broadcast from downtown, and now we’re thrilled to be back on the radio providing the same entertaining show for the most loyal listener base in sports radio.
“We are thrilled with this partnership, and we are looking forward to banging some damn hats come June 13th,” commented Chad Withrow.
OutKick 360 will continue to stream on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.
Currently the station’s translator airs ESPN Radio’s national lineup and the Paul Finebaum Show from 2-6pm. It is also the home of Nashville Sounds baseball.
