WHYY has new leadership as they announced that Sarah Glover is taking over the vice president for news and civic dialogue position. She will officially join the company on July 25th.
In her new role at WHYY, Glover will oversee all newsgathering operations for radio, television, and digital media. Furthermore, she will lead civic engagement in the Pennsylvania, Delaware, and South Jersey markets.
“Sarah Glover’s experience spans every aspect of contemporary news coverage, including broadcast and digital reporting, multimedia content and photojournalism,” WHYY President and CEO Bill Marrazzo said.
“She also pairs this experience with an in-depth understanding of the importance of marketing and revenue generation that is necessary for success in today’s media marketplace.”
Glover currently occupies the managing editor of Minnesota Public Radio’s MPR News. However, the shift to WHYY marks a return to the Philadelphia area as Glover was a staff photographer for over a decade at The Philadelphia Inquirer and the Philadelphia Daily News. She was also a social editor at NBC10.
