Fox News host Tucker Carlson thinks he knows why gas prices are so high. During a segment Friday, Carlson asserted that President Biden is strong-arming the European Union to stop buying oil from Russia as “payback” for Trump’s election in 2016.
According to a clip posted on The Wrap, Carlson also said Biden is intentionally raising gas prices as part of a “clampdown on domestic energy.”
“So, back in February, you may remember that Joe Biden pledged to destroy the Russian economy. ‘Let’s make them poor,’” Carlson said.
Carlson also criticized Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for pushing the administration’s equity and inclusion narrative. Carlson said commercial airline companies will take unprecedented measures over the next ten years.
“United has announced that 50% of its company’s pilots will be ‘women or people of color’ over the next decade,” Carlson commented. “Why should you care what the color of your pilot is? What does it have to do with anything?”
