With inflation rising and a possible recession looming, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has the unenviable task of answering questions from a press corps demanding answers.
Clay Travis and Buck Sexton took exception Tuesday with the way Jean-Pierre is doing her job, hinting that she may be lying for President Joe Biden whose approval numbers continue to sink to all-time lows.
The duo made their comments during their syndicated show Clay & Buck. A transcript of their conversation was published on the show’s website.
“Here is the new White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, who is telling everybody, “No, you don’t understand. We’ve got inflation right where we want it!” Exclaimed Sexton.
Travis asserted that Biden has picked the “worst people” to represent his administration.
“Is she the dumbest White House spokesperson that has ever existed in the history of the country?” Travis said of Jean-Pierre. “I know we went after Little Red Lying Hood, the former spokesperson who’s now moved on to MSNBC, and I know there have been dumb White House spokespersons before, right? I’m not pretending that this is like uniquely dumb.”
According to CNN, Biden acknowledged inflation is “sapping the strength of a lot of families,” as the price of gas and food skyrockets, the president blamed America’s problems on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
