It’s been nearly a year since Meghan McCain left ABC’s “The View,” and it’s been a rotating chair filled with guest co-hosts. However, they now reportedly have a permanent host, Alyssa Farah Griffin.
According to the Daily Mail, Donald Trump’s former White House communications director will take over the position full-time beginning in September.
The report adds that they spoke with three insiders with knowledge of the discussions between the parties involved, saying that ABC will announce her new position imminently.
“My jaw dropped when I was told that she was the pick. It makes no sense,” one insider said. “Part of me wishes they just leaned into MAGA and hired Kimberly Guilfoyle, at least it would better reflect part of the audience and there would be fireworks every day.”
Furthermore, another insider said that guest co-host Ana Navarro is disappointed by the decision considering Farrah worked for an administration that tried to overthrow the government.
“Her soon to be co-hosts are very upset. They feel she isn’t authentic and changes her opinions based on who her paymaster is,” another insider said. “Ana Navarro especially feels let down as they are hiring someone who was an essential part of the movement that destabilized this country.”
