Fox Nation has released a new documentary titled, “Bridge.” The one-hour show examines the collapse of the I-35W Minneapolis Bridge into the Mississippi River 15 years ago.
According to a release, “Bridge” is a story of the losses, the legacies and the healing felt throughout the state of Minnesota.
The bridge collapsed during evening rush hour on Aug 1, 2007. According to USA Today, 13 people were killed and 145 were injured. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) cited a design flaw as the likely cause of the collapse.
Construction on a replacement bridge was completed the following year. The show plans to look at the “ripples still felt by the Minneapolis community.”
The NTSB said a total of 111 vehicles were involved with victims plunging about 115 feet into the river or onto its banks. At least 22 children were injured in the collapse.
