Allison Williams Joining Fox Sports As College Football Sideline Reporter

Allison Williams, the reporter who made headlines last year by refusing to comply with ESPN’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate, has joined Fox Sports as a college football sideline reporter, according to a report from Outkick’s Bobby Burack.

“I am beyond thrilled and so grateful to be joining FOX Sports’ coverage of College Football this fall, Williams told Burack. “Having to step away from the sport and profession I love this past year has re-affirmed and reinvigorated the passion I have for this job.”

Williams, who joined conservative publication The Daily Wire for a sports series after leaving ESPN, will continue that work.

She also told Outkick she will be paired with Fox’s number two college football booth featuring newly acquired Jason Benetti and Brock Huard.

The story of her departure from ESPN last year made national news as the debate over vaccine mandates continued throughout the fall and winter.

“I am also so morally and ethically not aligned with this,” Williams said last October in the face of being forced to leave ESPN if she did not receive the COVID-19 vaccine. “And I’ve had to really dig deep and analyze my values and my morals, and ultimately I need to put them first. And the irony in all this is that a lot of these same values and morals that I hold dear are what made me a really good employee, what helped with the success that I’m able to have in my career.”
