CBS News Sunday Morning sat down with 1210 WPHT’s Dom Giordano Tuesday, for an interview that will air in September about the political divide in the nation, and the role talk radio plays in it.
Giordano alluded to being dressed up on Tuesday’s show and revealed Wednesday the reason.
“I had a great interview with Jim Axelrod that you see on Sunday Morning. Jane Pauley. Sunday Morning. It’s a big show. Come September 11th, we’ll be featured along with a talk show host to the left (of the political spectrum) talking about talk radio.
“Their September 11th show is gonna be about America divides. All those things out there that are divisive.”
Giordano marveled at the lengths taken to create a three to four-minute piece about the subject.
“I was in there 80 minutes. Maybe even 85, if you can imagine. Even I was getting tired of hearing myself. All for about 3 minutes, maybe. But it’s golden, those 3 minutes.”
He later had high praise for the quality of the program.
“When you’re on that show, it’s much different than being on cable or whatever. It’s a widely respected show.”
