Atlanta-based talk show host Erick Erickson said America is divided, and the media is to blame.
Erickson told his national audience Wednesday that the endless charade of mistakes in reporting about former President Donald Trump has spelled disaster for the mainstream media.
“Nobody believes the press; they’ve discredited themselves,” Erickson said. “We are beyond the beginning of the end for people taking the press seriously. The elite in this country who occupy powers and positions of influence and seats in the media are to blame.”
Erickson’s rant inspired this week’s FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago mansion. Trump, who was not home then, has insisted that he be caught in the crosshairs of a political witch-hunt from President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ).
“Maybe they (FBI) are just going to keep going after him until they find a way to get him (Trump). There were 76-78 million people who supported Donald Trump in his last election, and yet the media treats them like pariahs,” he said.
