According to a report from Ian Rapoport, Aqib Talib will not be joining Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football coverage.
The decision comes after Talib’s brother, Yaqub, allegedly shot and killed a youth football coach during an on-field disagreement on August 13th, where the former All-Pro was in attendance. According to witnesses, Aqib Talib started the altercation and was the first person to throw a punch.

Frank Perez, the attorney for the former Pro Bowler, told The New York Post Talib “Would like to convey his condolences to the family of the victim and to everyone who witnessed this unfortunate tragedy.”
Talib was slated to join the studio crew with Kaylee Hartung and former offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth.
