Michael Kay Returning To The Michael Kay Show September 6th

After taking most of the summer off, ESPN New York 98.7 afternoon host Michael Kay will return to his radio show on Tuesday, September 6th, according to a tweet from The New York Post media reporter Andrew Marchand.

It’s been a busy summer for Kay. In addition to his work as the New York Yankees television play-by-play announcer, Kay has worked with former Yankee Alex Rodriguez on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball simulcast the “KayRod Cast”. The Michael Kay Show also recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.

ESPN New York 98.7 told Newsday‘s Neil Best in July “Michael has earned a significant amount of vacation time that he is using throughout the summer to recharge for the year ahead and to help him manage his other responsibilities with the Yankees and Sunday Night Baseball with KayRod Casts. He is the heart of the station and will continue to make appearances before returning from his time off to his daily, signature role.”
