On Wednesday, President Joe Biden announced his administration’s plan regarding student loan forgiveness with the forgiveness applying to those making less than $125,000.
Furthermore, the forgiving debt will go as follow: students who went to college on a pell grant will have $20,000 off what they owe. Meanwhile, students who didn’t attend school on a pell grant will have $10,000.
Biden also wants to give working and middle-class families breathing room; as a result, payments will resume on federal student loans in January 2023.
