Dan Bongino appeared to take a shot at Fox News morning host Steve Doocy after his defense of the FBI’s raid of the Mar-a-Lago.
Bongino appeared on The Brian Kilmeade Show Wednesday and mentioned his lack of belief in the FBI while saying he differed in opinion with one of his Fox News cohorts “on the couch”.
“You know what I like about working here is there’s a lot of different people with a lot of different opinions, even on the couch,” Bongino said, never mentioning Doocy by name. “I disagree strongly with people at the network who want to default to trusting the FBI. Because I ask the question — Brian, I’m not suggesting this is you of course — but why would you trust the FBI when it comes to Trump? Can you give me a reason, anyone? Where have they shown any documented history of unbiased, nonpartisan law-enforcement-type activity? The answer is in no Trump case ever. So your default defense of the FBI is outrageous.”
Doocy, who has tried to tamp down on anti-FBI rhetoric during Fox & Friends and has argued in the FBI’s defense for their actions against the former President, mentioned during Wednesday’s show that FBI agents found classified documents in Trump’s desk at Mar-a-Lago, insinuating the FBI was correct for trying to reattain the documents in question.
