During Tuesday’s program, Jesse Kelly opined that recently retired FBI agent Timothy Thibault will have a future in the media. Thibault, a former Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Washington D.C. office, is accused of holding a political bias for his role in the investigation of Hunter Biden’s laptop.
Thibault was removed from his role by FBI Director Christopher Wray in August before retiring last Friday. In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, Wray said Thibault had participated in “improper conduct”, claiming he tried to shut down the investigation into Biden’s laptop. Kelly claimed Thibault was a “convenient fall guy” who will profit after taking the blame.
“You know he’s gonna be rich, right? You understand that being a good servant of the system guarantees that Tim Thibault this time next year — once all this stuff has blown over — he’ll have a nice fat paycheck from MSNBC (or) CNN,” The Jesse Kelly Show host said. “Or he’ll be teaching something like ethics to Aiden of yours, who you sent to Harvard, like an idiot, to spend $200,000 so he can learn to hate your guts. Or he’ll be working with Hollywood. ‘Let’s get an inside man out there who knows what goes on inside the FBI. The brave men and women protecting America’. The system takes care of it’s own.”
On his Truth Social platform, former President Donald Trump claimed Thibault was the agent who led the FBI’s raid on his Mar-a-Lago home. News reports refute the claim, with Fox News saying Thibault was not involved “at any level”.
