Mark Simone: CNN Wanted Don Lemon ‘The Hell Away’ From Primetime

710 WOR host Mark Simone had strong thoughts behind the decision of CNN to move Don Lemon from primetime to mornings, and it wasn’t praise.

Simone had conservative commentator Ann Coulter on his show Wednesday, and he asked her opinion on the move. She then said she didn’t know Lemon was moving, and asked where he was going and why.

“They just wanted to get him the hell away from primetime because he has the lowest ratings. He’s a disaster,” Simone said. “So he’s been fired from the primetime lineup. They’re afraid to fire him so they just stuck him on this morning show with 12 other people. Obviously, something is coming to primetime. There’s a shakeup at CNN.”

CNN announced multiple changes to its daily lineup Thursday.

The pair then discussed a recent poll that, in their view, was detrimental to the mental capacity of MSNBC viewers.

“Did you see this poll that 67% of MSNBC viewers think that it is actually against the law for teachers to use the word ‘gay’ in any Florida high school, or K-12 school? 67%. Do not tell me that conservatives believe crazy things,” Coulter said. “67% of MSNBC viewers think it’s against the law to say ‘gay’ in any school in Florida.”

“Well, they do tend to mislead the audience a lot,” Simone said. “They do slant and skewer. You’re brainwashed if you watch MSNBC.”
