Clay Travis and Buck Sexton called “The View” co-host Joy Behar an “imbecile” Thursday for politicizing Hurricane Ian in the wake of mass destruction and rising death tolls.
The “Clay & Buck” hosts called on Behar to stop inserting politics into discussions that involve stories of loss of life or mass destruction.
“Joy Behar is paid millions of dollars,” Sexton said. “Can she just be a normal person for a couple of days and not make it about Governor DeSantis who she is attacking for his climate change views.”
According to the Orlando Sentinel, millions of Floridians were left without power as the state grappled with its largest coordinated rescue effort ever.
“Frankly, Joy Behar is an imbecile but to go in this direction,” said Travis. I believe she said this yesterday (Wednesday) before the storm even hit. I bet what she’ll say today is more of the same.”
Travis said the media will stop at nothing to go after Ron DeSantis to try and make a tragic situation as political as they can.
“Hurricanes have been hitting Florida since the state became a geographic reality. That is where it is located, it is a peninsula hanging out into the ocean. It is uniquely vulnerable to get hit in the United States.”
