NFL Network Sees London Ratings Record With Giants/Packers

The New York Giants bested the Green Bay Packers in a game that aired exclusively on NFL Network from London Sunday morning, and the contest provided an NFL Network record for viewers.

The game garnered 5.2 million viewers, which is a new high for a London broadcast on the cable outlet. The previous record was 4.6 million viewers, set only a week ago as the Minnesota Vikings faced the New Orleans Saints.

The 5.2 million viewers, however, pales in comparison to other NFL broadcasts in exclusive windows. Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video saw an audience of 9.7 million viewers, while Monday Night Football saw an audience of 12.5 million on ESPN, while 1.6 million watched the Manningcast on ESPN2. Sunday Night Football drew 15.8 million viewers on NBC.

The game also aired on local television in New York and Green Bay. According to Nielsen, the game garnered a 6.9 share in New York and a 25.4 share in Milwaukee.

  1. Because pushing overseas games is a novelty and money grab, but fans in USA hate it! Tge small numbers inflated by bw3s playing it in sports bars or other sports bars not households. We all know this but not published as fact. Publishing the fact.
