Climate activists interrupted an interview on “The View” Monday. The panel spoke to Senator Ted Cruz when a few people stood up and started screaming about covering climate change.
Nashville talk radio host Dan Mandis blamed the show’s agenda. Reacting to the news during his daily show Tuesday on SuperTalk 99.7 WTN, he called the interview “entertaining” and credited Cruz with taking it all in stride.
“This is a guy who deals with the idiots in the Senate,” Mandis said. “He’s well versed on how to deal with this kind of disruption.”
A spokesperson for the show told CNN that three people were “promptly escorted out by security.”
“Cruz is kind of laughing at the spectacle,” Mandis stated. “It’s funny that these hecklers had masks on. They were yelling cover climate change now. Here’s the best part, they weren’t even going after Ted Cruz, it sounded like they were going after the ladies on The View.”
Following the disturbance, the interview continued, and the panel apologized to Cruz.
“We have heard much worse coming from the stage of The View,” added Mandis. “Nazis and fascists and the rest of it.”
Mandis noted that Cruz and Goldberg had a notable exchange regarding the riots on Jan 6. Cruz acknowledged the violence that day but added that the ANTIFA and BLM riots during the summer of 2020 took their toll on cities across America, causing billions of dollars in damage.
