South Carolina radio host Tara Servatius said Wednesday that YouTube has suspended her account for violating community standards related to COVID-19.
The 106.3 WORD FM host has been critical of Big Tech’s censorship during the pandemic. While most conservative pundits have discovered other platforms to express their views, Servatius told her listeners that she’s fighting for a better future.
“Every strike that I have ever had has been for something that I got right, I just got it right too early,” she said. “So, we are off YouTube right now and that is incredibly frustrating to me.”
Servatius touted her Rumble account but said that she’s worried that the platform will now be influenced by liberals who have invested in the publicly traded company.
“They (liberals) are like parasites,” she said. “We have never seen this in human history. Where the profit motive, the money motive, the so-called greed motive, has always driven everything. I’m afraid that I’m going to grow Rumble and it’s going to be taken away.”
Servatius reiterated that YouTube does not have a right to censor its users and violate people’s First Amendment rights.
“Their charter under federal law simply says that they are not publishers,” Servatius said. “They do not get to decide what you get to publish.”
“We didn’t make it a week on YouTube,” she added.
